The following is based on a true story. Some characters & events have been adjusted for dramatic effect & also because I have forgotten some of the details. It was a day like any other. It would end that way too. Or so I thought. Little did I know that my life would be changed forever because of the events of this day. And I’m not the only one. We were in a youth staff meeting. Myself, Ellie & Abbie. Sitting in my office, having some very important conversations (or something like that). Then, my phone rings. I ignore it. Besides, it’s not my day to be on call, so if it’s an emergency or a walk in, it’s not on me. We continue on with our very important meeting & conversation. The phone rings again.
